I received a nice hip flask at Christmas which I thought was a great present. I ordered myself a stainless funnel for filling which arrived today so set about topping it up! Not sure how often I'm going to use the flask but I do love it [emoji4]

Nice flask and a fine whisky to fill it with.
I bought a hip flask some time ago, and it doesn't honestly go out much (being MLW's carer makes me the driver by default); but when it does, it seems essentially to proper gentlemanly being... or something :-)
Nice flask. I wasn't sure how often I'd imagine when I got it, but it gets used more often than I thought, long winter walks, footy matches, concerts even took it with me when charity collecting before Christmas, purely for medicinal purposes of course.

Nice flask Dylan, always handy to carry in a jacket pocket

Met up with my brother on Christmas Eve - he doesn't have many mates who are into a dram, so he took me on a tour of his new additions.
Lots of briny, peaty whiskies. A couple that stuck with me were Compass Box's Peat Monster and Douglas Laing's Big Peat. Would highly recommend even if you're not into peatier drinks (I'm not particularly - but these have converted me!)
Normally enjoy a nice malt but lately have been expanding more into bourbons. Got a bottle of Smooth Ambler Contradiction on the go at the moment which goes beautifully with a wee Dunhill Nightcap in the pipe and about to see off a bottle of Bowmore Devils Cask
One of the guys who works in a local whisky shop has said to me it's rumoured to come from the Lagavulin distillery, don't know if there's any truth behind the claim

O really will have to look into that...Either way it's a lovely drink.. but be nice to know which distillery it comes from
I tried the aldi one last night...Really enjoyed it...At at the price point can't go wrong...I think it was like ?17 for a decent whisky in my opinion.

Haven't tried either of these yet, but I have tried the speyside and the Highland from the aldi range, very decent for the price, a few of the guys on here have given the Islay a go and have enjoyed them.
