I'm with you on that Shamz most everything from Islay is great, full of complexity. Comparing Haig Club to a Laphroaig is like comparing a bolivar to a supermarket cigarillo.

I thought Haig club was horrible, Monkeys Shoulder is far nicer in that price bracket. Was in america this week and bought a litre of Woolford Reserve and that is lovely.

How's the Haig Shamz? The only time I've tried it was at an airport at 7 in the morning so I was barely awake, time doesn't apply at airports

Not a bad one, especially when you get it on offer, which it quite frequently is.

It's nice but nothing special but it was on offer at Amazon so not all bad.

Very interesting. Have you had the Rum before Scooby?

Nope and haven't had chance to try it yet Johnny. I've tried the Cafe version (coffee/vanilla) and it's bloody lovely
