Couldn't resist opening the bottle during the fight...was a beautiful smooth drink....no water or ice stone needed. Highly recommended trying it.

Talisker, imho, is fabulous - smokey without the standing in a bonfire you get from Lagavulin; clean tasting; and hinting that you're by the sea but not in it.

The Talisker Port Wood finish is excellent! Port Roighe or something it's called.

any opinions on the isle of jura 10 year old single malt or the talisker

Both are a decent dram, I used to drink nothing but Jura however these days I have broadened my tastes and out of the two I would probably go with the Talisker.
