I enjoy a single malt. Drinking Auchentoshan American Oak at the moment. It's nice, no peat, really mellow and vanilla.

Couldn't resist opening the bottle during the fight...was a beautiful smooth drink....no water or ice stone needed. Highly recommended trying it.Originally posted by SHAMZ84 View PostLove my in-laws. Got me this beauty on there travels

Lagavulin 16 year old for me at the moment. Just needs a drop of water to open it up, such a wonderful peaty aroma.

Love these descriptions, Moose. Well written! You should be writing pro-reviews [emoji1360]Originally posted by the pondering moose View Post
Talisker, imho, is fabulous - smokey without the standing in a bonfire you get from Lagavulin; clean tasting; and hinting that you're by the sea but not in it.

The Talisker Port Wood finish is excellent! Port Roighe or something it's called.

Both are a decent dram, I used to drink nothing but Jura however these days I have broadened my tastes and out of the two I would probably go with the Talisker.Originally posted by newbie View Postany opinions on the isle of jura 10 year old single malt or the talisker

Also *knob* creek, hahaha. Seriously though, working my way through a bottle of that, it's good stuff.
