New on my shelf of drinking: Bulleit Rye. So far, it's very nice, for something a little different.

Just popped in Tesco for some milk and checked the Whisky isle, as you do and they have the Speyside below for ?12.50.

I've had this before and I really enjoyed it. Seems to get decent reviews also but even if it's average it's a bargain!

I'm wondering if they have stopped making it as it's no longer showing on Tesco Direct. Get in store if you want a bargain.

If you want to get in to peaty whisky this is a great introduction.... Didn't expect much from this dram... But it's really nice...nice and smooth with a touch of peatyness [emoji106] [emoji106] [emoji106]

Talisker and a D4, sounds like a perfect evening to me.

My favourite for everyday drinking is the 10 year old Bushmills, followed by Blackbush. Some years ago an Irish colleague who liked his whiskey but no cigars would take my lit cigar and using his had as a seal would place the lit end of the cigar in his whiskey glass and allow the smoke to build up in the glass before taking a sip. Anyone else come across this or do it? I've done it myself, and have to say it does change the taste of the whiskey although I'm not sure it necessarily improves it.
