Just took a delivery at the office of an Aberfeldy 12 year, purchased on an Amazon offer. I'm looking forward to trying this tonight.

Also treated myself to a couple of quality whisky glasses. I always just grab an old tumbler out of the cupboard but now I can use my very own whisky glasses!

I like whisky with a higher volume % as when I add water to it I water it down and not the distiller if that makes sense

I have a bottle, not hugely impressed with it and don't think it pairs particularly well with a cigar, certainly no more so than any other whisky.

A great selection. I find Glenfiddich a bit syrupy, but Talisker is my go to mid-shelf dram, with Bowmore not far behind.

I'd be interested to hear any tasting observations on Smokehead.

Nice selections Scooby, I haven't tried the Smokehead, Talisker is a nice dram as is the Glenfiddich. I had a bottle of the anCnoc and initially I wasn't overly impressed however I went back to it a couple of months later and enjoyed it a lot more, maybe I was having a fussy day on the first day of trying it!

No I haven't ....I normally play first thing in the morning so never appealed to smoke light one up. I have after a round though.
