Trying this for the first time tonight, never really ventured into the Arran distillery, but this is delicious, the old ‘Christmas in a bottle’ but I am a fan of sherried whiskies, glendronach being my favourite of all time after being introduced by Wigan. Spicy on the finish too, but that might be the 55.8% talking!
One of my favourite drams from last year. Just something a bit different about it. I've ordered a bottle as part of my Dad's birthday gift I was that impressed by it.
I’ve only had one whiskey finished in a red wine cask, a Japanese one few years back, which was a bit medicinal for my taste.

I had a Chateau Neuf Du Pape cask edradour years ago that I liked. I've had a bottle of this but can't remember exactly how it tasted, finished it a while ago. Don't remember it being medicinal, some nice fruit in it as far as I recall.
