    How’s this one?

I’ve only had one whiskey finished in a red wine cask, a Japanese one few years back, which was a bit medicinal for my taste.

Best replacement for the now ludicrously priced A'bunadh I'd say.

This is a lovely rich whisky. No smoke/peat. Needs a touch of water. But smooth and strong. Recommended by mcdee and now me too.

    Warms the cockles.

Not one for flavours whiskey but decided to by this was on offer.

It's not too bad.... something different. Imo something used in cocktails.

I used it to make chocolate orange Irish cream for Xmas and it works well

£40 for an 18yo you can’t go wrong I’m sure. Good to know it delivers flavour as well. Sounds like it punches well above its weight!

Good spirits Co in town is very good if you’re wanting a shop. Other than that what are your preferences when it comes to whisky and style of? Depending on that there’s likely to be distilleries that are close enough

Highly recommend Glenallachie whisky. Probably my favourite distillery at the moment.
