Been looking for an 1984 whisky and got one from April too.....

Saving this for my 40th in a few years time...hoping its a good one.

Thoughts on casg annamh ... batch 001- found a shop with a tenner a bottle discount. Reports appear to be fairly polar....

I've been meaning to buy a bottle...they had some great offers in prime day sales...

if they are anything like the a'bunadh range but cheaper I'd be happy as the a'bunadh price is ridiculous at the moe...only a few years back you d be able to get them at 35-40 a bottle

Bought this a while back.... rather nice. Hint od birds custard powder... sweetness and vanilla with a subtle liquirice root and oak finish

I do like this one....goes lovely with a cigar too.

Haven't updated this in. While...couldn't. Find a photo of the bottles

But for my brother in law's 40th pop opened a few bottles of something new to both of us


Togouchi blended whisky....was a lovely whisky....I'm normally big on the peaty whisky
However this was light and sweet with a light peaty finish...we finished the bottle that night...was lovely.


Glenmorangie 18 Extremely Rare - which was another fantastic whisky...polished that off swell.
Fruity and subtle sweetness which a nice smokey oak finish

I'll agree on that..... Irish is lighter that scotch both in strength and taste due to it being triple distilled...... different beasts altogether..... auchentoshan scotch is closest to Irish whiskey from what I recall.....

I had a bottle of auchentoshan once, wasn't great. I forget which one but it kinda put me off

I'll agree on that..... Irish is lighter that scotch both in strength and taste due to it being triple distilled...... different beasts altogether..... auchentoshan scotch is closest to Irish whiskey from what I recall.....

Right - what Irish whiskey tastes like abunadh? Cos I can't find any scotch that does. Actually that's a lie - I'll take recommendations on that too (I've tried the casg amah whatever)

Does anyone else on here have an infinity bottle? For those that don't know, it's when you use an empty bottle and each time you crack open a bottle of whisky you add a nip to it until you have your own blend. It's quite good fun to do.
