Just been through this little lot. Sampling! Only one I liked was the peated one. Very lightly peated mind.

Recently got a bottle of Ardbeg Uigeadail as a birthday present. Oooooo boy, that's a drink and a half. I really like Ardbeg 10 anyway, this cask strength bottling along with the sweetness from the sherry casks is delicious. Just have to be a bit more judicious with how often I drink it because it's a little rich to be a regular!

Trying this for the first time tonight, never really ventured into the Arran distillery, but this is delicious, the old ‘Christmas in a bottle’ but I am a fan of sherried whiskies, glendronach being my favourite of all time after being introduced by Wigan. Spicy on the finish too, but that might be the 55.8% talking!

Would recommend!

What are people's thoughts on the results? My view has been that with the amount of limited edition and special bottlings coming out of the likes of Bruichladdich, Ardbeg, Macallan etc that it's about time a kick in the back side was needed to be given to the distillers in Scotland. Quality not quantity needs to be the emphasis in my view and that seems to have been lost recently for me
