On Saturday some friends and I enjoyed Suntory Yamazaki Distillers Reserve with a Montecristo Open Eagle. Paired quite nicely together

I’ve had it many times. Very nice whiskey and great value for money.

Just been through this little lot. Sampling! Only one I liked was the peated one. Very lightly peated mind.

    Hic.

Recently got a bottle of Ardbeg Uigeadail as a birthday present. Oooooo boy, that's a drink and a half. I really like Ardbeg 10 anyway, this cask strength bottling along with the sweetness from the sherry casks is delicious. Just have to be a bit more judicious with how often I drink it because it's a little rich to be a regular!

Spicy on the finish too, but that might be the 55.8% talking!

    Would recommend!

Definitely give the Arran Sherry Cask a try then I'd say.

When it comes to quality so many are desperate for Cuba to catch up

Quality not quantity needs to be the emphasis in my view and that seems to have been lost recently for me
